Installation Instructions

 INSTALLATION SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Incorrectly installing or incorrectly using aH20FT4000 Hydrogen Generator technology may result in serious damage or body injury. Read and follow the instructions and safety precautions given here and in relevant places throughout this manual to avoid these hazards.
If you do not understand these instructions or do not like working on vehicles, have your mechanic do the installation. It should take a couple of hours to install.
Work outside, no smoking; make sure the engine is not hot.
Wear goggles and gloves and only use professional tools; use common sense and general safety procedures used for automotive installations and maintenance. If you're not sure, ASK!
Study this page well before installation. In case of trouble, refer to the chapter on troubleshooting.

  1. First look for a place to mount your H2oFT4000 Generator and Filler unit try to mount it in the coolest part of the engine compartment or in front of the radiator or behind the bumper. Each car will be different.
Make sure you can get to the fill cap to add water.
  2. Next mount H20FT4000 Generator.
  3. Next connect tubes to generator connect 1 hose to the filler unit.
  4. Now mix water and baking soda 1 teaspoon baking soda to 1 gallon of distilled water pour water mix into filler unit it will fill up the H2oFT4000 Generator when the water starts comming out of the tube you have not connected to the bottom of the filler unit connect this tube.
  5. Now look for either a vacuum hose that you can splice into or drill holes in air intake closet to throttle body.
  6. If you drill holes insert tubing that you have cut at a 45% angle into air intake and seal with automotive silicone or use brass fitting not supplied. I have found that a tube cut at 45% angle inserted into the intake creates a better suction due to the venturi effect created by the airflow over the 45% angle cut pipe. Use hose clamps for all hose connections. See pic below for connections.
  7. Look for a good place to put relay box mount using self drilling screw.
  8. Next mount control box in cab of vehicle make sure you can connect the wires.
  9. Now start with the electrical connections.

Electrical Connections

  1. Connect 12v+ wire must be live only when car ignition is turned on.
  2. Connect the Red wire from generator to the 86 pin on the relay.
  3. Now connect 12V-wire to a ground point or.
  4. Find MAP sensor cut wire that goes to computer controller on the. Normally there are 3 wires to the MAP sensor 1st  is 12v+ 3rd is Negative- Ground and 2nd is the one giving the information to the computer. The 2nd one is the one that needs to be cut. Now connect the wire coming out of the MAP sensor to the wire marked MAP
  5. Next connect the other end of the cut wire to the ECU marked wire. You will have now cut the circuit but now the potentiometer will be inline to control the resistance to the engines computer. Note the H2oFT4000 generator will still work on most cars if step 5 is left out. You will get better gas mileage if you complete steps 5.

Caution

If you have a hard time locating the wires DO NOT DO ANYTHING! Stop right there and leave this job to a mechanic. Guesswork won't serve you right this time. One wrong connection may burn the computer and you'll be wasting hundreds of dollars on repairs. This is a very simple connection but must be done with confidence.

Relay Connections

Pin 85 Connect to ground
Pin  86 Connect to 12v+ which must be live only when ignition is turnrd on.
Pin 87 Connect to a fused 12v+ from Battery
Pin 30 Connect to Positive of H2o generator
Connect Negative of H20FT4000 to ground or battery negative

Relay

Hose Connections

Connect Hose to H2oFt 4000 Generator.
Connect to vacuum hose or drill hole in air intake to connect HHO hose.

How to Fill the H2oFT400 Generator

  1. Mix distilled water with baking soda/electrolyte for this generator use +/- 1 teaspoon baking soda to     2 cups /16 0z /500ml of distilled water. Whichever unit of measure you are comfortable with.
  2. Fill Generator.
  3. Use ptfe tape found on brass fill cap around threads before replacing fill cap.
  4. Start Car.

SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING

WATER LEVEL TOO LOW

  1. Add  distilled water no more electrolyte needed… Sounds simple, it is. But here are the things you should know about this:
  2. First of all for safety’s sake, never do this with the electricity on. Turn the ignition switch fully off and pull the fuse out.
  3. Second, never put new cold or hot water for that matter into an empty HOT GENERATOR. Let it cool first.Only add distilled water, but no electrolyte. That's when you're only ADDING water, no need for electrolyte - it's already in the generator. The water has been evaporated and turned into HHO, but the electrolyte stayed.
  4. When you're done, place the fuse back. Visually inspect the hoses and connections. Then, test the system and make sure it's working properly.

H2oFT4000 OVERHEATS

Lower the ratio of Electrolyte by adding distilled water you will have to get rid of some of the water already in the H2oFT400 Generator just pour it out.

H2oFT400 Blows Fuses

Put in a 25amp fuse if you are still blowing fuses Lower the ratio of Electrolyte by adding distilled water you will have to get rid of some of the water already in the H2oFT400 Generator just pour it out.

NO HHO PRODUCTION

Check for a blown fuse.
If the fuse is OK, check the wiring. Measure the voltage between the terminals - it should read around 12 Volts. If you don’t have a voltmeter, check with any 12-volt bulb.
